Paying for it

Paid once, not monthly

Every price above is a one-off. There is no monthly payment, no direct debit and nothing to cancel. You buy the site and you own it, with the domain registered in your name from day one.

Trade builds — garages, landscapers, cleaners and salons — are £950, because the systems behind the site are the bulk of the work.

Afterwards

Keeping it running — £60 a year, or £270 for the care plan

Hosting, your domain, the SSL certificate, email, software updates, backups and quarterly checks — plus two hours of changes a year for new photos or updated text. Anything larger is quoted at £45 an hour.

It is optional, and the site is yours either way. The care plan has no tie-in and nothing stops working if you cancel — you own the site and the domain, and we will hand both over to whoever you like.

Run a garage? There is a version of this with an online booking diary, registration lookup and automatic MOT reminders, and a working demo you can try. Websites for garages.

Just the Google listing sorting out? £75 to set up or clean up your Google Business Profile — hours, photos, services and the categories that decide whether you appear in “near me” searches. Often worth more to a small shop than a website, and it stands alone.

Recent work

Four sites, four different jobs

All live, all clickable. Have a look on your phone as well as your computer.

Two counties Local search Enquiry forms

LA Cleaning

A domestic cleaning business working in two places at once. One build, deployed twice, each with its own areas, prices and local search footprint — Harpenden and Wheathampstead in Hertfordshire, and the villages south of Norwich. Two sites means each one can rank for its own towns instead of competing with itself.

Nerd Arcade

A full online shop — product pages, basket, payments and delivery rules. Built on WordPress and WooCommerce so stock and orders can be managed without me.

Kingfisher Landscapes

A landscaping business in Bedford. Includes a five-step quote builder that sends a complete brief straight to WhatsApp, and a photo gallery of finished jobs.

Crusty Pie

An illustrator taking commissions. Gallery, a price list by size, and a slots badge so people know the books are open. Hand-built — the page is 9 KB.

Hand-built No frameworks Fast

Regan IT

This site. Written by hand with no page builder and no WordPress, which is why it loads in well under a second and has nothing to keep patched.

Included

In every build, not as an extra

Security

Built secure from the start

HTTPS, hardened forms and no abandoned plugins. I do this for a living, so it is not an afterthought.

Found on Google

Set up to be searched for

Titles, descriptions, structured data and a sitemap, plus your Google Business Profile — the thing that actually wins local work.

Speed

Fast on a phone

Images compressed properly and no bloated page builder. Most of your visitors are on mobile data.

Email

Email on your own domain

you@yourbusiness.uk rather than a Gmail address. Set up, tested, and working on your phone.

How it works

Four steps, and one of them is yours

A conversation

What the business does, who you want to reach, and what the site needs to achieve. Half an hour, no charge, no obligation.

A written quote

Fixed price, what is included, and when it will be done. Nothing starts until you have said yes to it.

Photos and words

The part only you can do. Photos of real work beat stock images every time, and I will tell you honestly which ones are worth using.

Built, checked, live

You see it before anyone else does. Once you are happy it goes live, gets submitted to Google, and I keep an eye on it.

Questions

The things people actually ask

Do I own the website?

Yes. The domain is registered in your name, and the site is yours. If you ever want to move it elsewhere, I hand over the files and help with the transfer — no hostage taking.

What if I want to change things myself?

For a shop or a site you will update often, I build it on WordPress so you can edit it without me. For a site that rarely changes, hand-built is faster and safer — and small changes are included in the care plan.

Is the care plan compulsory?

No. You can host it anywhere you like. But hosting, SSL, email and keeping things patched has to be somebody’s job, and most people would rather it was mine than theirs.

Why not just use Wix or Squarespace?

You can, and for some businesses that is the right answer. What you get here instead is someone local who also fixes the computer you are typing on, and a site you own outright, rather than one you rent from a platform forever.
