What we do
Design it, build it, then keep it
Most of the gardens we look after we built. That is deliberate: it is the only way to know the drainage, the soil and where the cables run.
Patios, paving and decking
Porcelain, sandstone, block paving and composite decking, laid on a proper base with falls that take water away from the house.
Lawns and turfing
Levelled, prepared and laid, with an honest conversation about whether your garden gets enough sun for turf at all.
Planting and borders
Planted for the aspect and the soil you actually have, not the catalogue. Two-year guarantee on anything we plant.
Fencing and screening
Concrete posts where they make sense, timber where they do not, and trellis or planted screening if you would rather not look at a fence.
Hedges, trees and clearance
Cutting back, reshaping and taking overgrown gardens back to something you can work with. All waste removed under our carrier licence.
Regular maintenance
Fortnightly or monthly, same day every visit, same person every time. Mowing, edges, borders, weeding and a text when we have been.
Lighting and irrigation
Low-voltage garden lighting and automatic watering on a timer, installed while the ground is already open rather than dug up later.
Sheds, bases and stores
Concrete or paved bases, bin and bike stores built to fit the gap you have, not the one the flat-pack assumes.

Seasonal reminders
The garden tells you when. We just pass it on.
Most garden jobs have a right month and a wrong one. Set this once and you get a text when it is the right month, with a link to book.
- February, before nesting seasonHedges cut back. From March to August an active nest is protected by law, so anything major has to happen before then or wait until autumn.
- March and AprilSpring tidy, mulch on the borders, first cut and a feed while the lawn is growing into it.

Sample location. Most landscapers do not want a walk-in address published, and the site does not need one.
What happens after you send a brief
- Same working day: a text or a call to check access and the bits the photos do not show.
- Within a week: a free site visit, measured up, and any drainage or level problems pointed out then rather than mid-job.
- Then: a fixed written price, itemised, with what is included and what is not. It does not move unless you change the job.
- No deposit until the start date is agreed, and never more than materials.
Questions
The things people ask before they ring
Can you cut my hedge in May?
We can trim lightly, but not reshape it. Between March and August birds are likely to be nesting, and it is an offence to damage an active nest. If the hedge needs taking back hard, the right answer is February or September, and we would rather tell you that than take the money and risk it.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. The site visit and the written price are free. A full drawn design is chargeable, and that cost comes off the build if you go ahead with us.
How long does a patio take?
A typical back garden patio is three to five days, longer if the old one has to come up or levels need changing. We give you the days in the quote and we do not start a second job in the middle of yours.
Do you take the waste away?
Yes, and we are registered waste carriers, so you can ask for the licence number. Fly-tipped garden waste traced back to your address is your problem, not the contractor's, which is why it is worth checking with anyone you use.
Can I just have the maintenance without the build?
Yes, subject to the round having room in your area. Put your postcode in at the top and it will tell you which day covers you and when the next visits are.
What if a plant dies?
Anything we plant carries a two-year guarantee provided the watering has been done, and we will tell you honestly if a plant failed because of the position rather than the plant. Then we replace it with something that will cope.
